欧洲作为旅游胜地，每年都有大量的游客前往。其中，西欧、中欧等地区集中了许多著名的景点和风景名胜，是不少旅游者来欧洲旅游的必选之地。由于本次出行时间有限，加上准备不是很充足，只能通过图片、视频粗略记录一番，本次呈上的是德国之旅。接下来会陆续发出我在其他国家的一些见闻。大家如果感兴趣，欢迎到我的微信公众号“兵华小伙”去了解。
Europe is a favourite destination, drawing huge numbers of visitors every year. Western and central Europe in particular pack in many famous sights and scenic spots, making them a must for anyone touring the continent. With limited time and less preparation than I would have liked, I could only record things roughly through photos and videos. This post covers Germany; notes from the other countries will follow. Germany · Cologne

Walking into Cologne, you are met by the atmosphere of a metropolis where classical beauty and modern style meet: ancient, imposing cathedrals alongside rows of contemporary high-rises, shops on every corner and shelves full of goods.
科隆为德国的第四大城市，以重工业闻名。除了闻名于世的科隆大教堂，又有世界最古老的香水4711（古龙水），造型独特的现代化高楼随处可见，是德国最著名的旅游城市之一。
Cologne is Germany’s fourth-largest city and is known for heavy industry. Besides the world-famous Cologne Cathedral, it is home to 4711, the oldest eau de cologne in the world; strikingly shaped modern towers stand everywhere you look, making it one of Germany’s best-known tourist cities.
科隆大教堂是科隆市的标志性建筑物，高度居德国第二世界第三，规模是欧洲北部最大的教堂。以轻盈、雅致著称于世，是世界三大哥特式教堂之一，被列为世界文化遗产。与巴黎圣母院大教堂和罗马圣彼得大教堂并称为欧洲三大宗教建筑。
Cologne Cathedral is the city’s landmark: the second tallest in Germany and third in the world, and the largest church in northern Europe by scale. Celebrated for its lightness and elegance, it is one of the world’s three great Gothic cathedrals and a World Cultural Heritage site, ranked together with Notre-Dame in Paris and St Peter’s in Rome as Europe’s three great religious buildings.

· Frankfurt
法兰克福正式全名为美因河畔法兰克福，被誉为“美茵河畔的耶路撒冷”“德国最大的书柜”。漫步其中，你会觉得时空变得交错，古老建筑文明与现代化都市氛围有机融合，让人身不由己地随景致而自由切换畅快徜徉。法兰克福不仅是德国乃至欧洲的重要工商业、金融和交通中心，同时又是一座文化名城，这里也是世界文豪歌德的故乡。
Frankfurt’s full official name is Frankfurt am Main. It has been called “the Jerusalem on the Main” and “Germany’s biggest bookshelf”. Wandering through it, time and space seem to overlap: ancient architectural heritage and a modern urban atmosphere merge, and you find yourself switching freely between them as the scenery changes. Frankfurt is not only a major industrial, commercial, financial and transport hub for Germany and Europe, but also a renowned cultural city — and the birthplace of Goethe.
法兰克福大教堂距今已经有600年的历史，因为神圣罗马帝国时期共有10位德国皇帝的加冕典礼在此举行所以又被称作皇帝教堂，因为帝王的原因，成为法兰克福首选旅行第一目的地。
Frankfurt Cathedral is around 600 years old. Because the coronation ceremonies of ten German emperors of the Holy Roman Empire were held here, it is also known as the Emperor’s Cathedral — and for that imperial connection it is the number-one destination for visitors to Frankfurt.
德国人严谨的工作态度和独特的创新精神不仅体现在城市的一砖一瓦中，也深深地融入到了他们的血液和思想中。
The Germans’ meticulous approach to work and their distinctive spirit of innovation show not only in every brick and tile of their cities, but run deep in their blood and thinking.

The hotel we checked into that day had a fair number of rules, but the room’s facilities and the standards of cleanliness were generally good. The photo above is a corner of the hotel bathroom. Reports, photos and impressions from the other European countries I visited will follow — stay tuned!
